Permitted Sizes

There is a variation in the maximum size of caskets allowed based on the cargo door dimensions of different aircraft types and the destination airport. This is due to the fact that not all airports in Indonesia can accommodate large aircraft, making advance booking or reservations crucial to ensure that the shipment to the destination can be fulfilled with the casket size and type of aircraft to be used, especially for airports that can only be accessed by smaller aircraft.

The standard allowable casket size is adjusted according to the type of aircraft used for shipment. The permitted aircraft types and sizes can be found in the Human Remain Packaging Guide (downloadable PDF file) and the Aircraft Specifications.
